My Top 10 Fiction Books

The most common question I get asked when someone finds that found I’m an avid reader is ‘recommend me some books!’.

I think it’s healthy to have a split between reading non-fiction and fiction. Fiction is normally an afterthought, especially in a world where we value ‘hustle culture’ and don’t give ourselves enough time to just relax and read for the hell of it! This is very prominent for students, and I definitely felt this way when I was a student.

I love reading fiction as escapism. At this moment in time, my top 10 fiction books are:

  1. Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine
  2. Maze Runner
  3. Ready Player 1
  4. Tattooist of Auschwitz
  5. Off to Be the Wizard
  6. Shantaram
  7. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
  8. The Beekeeper of Aleppo
  9. 7 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle
  10. Shantaram

These are all which are memorable to me, and which I will write a future blog post on and link here for you to hear why they made the list. I would take into account the genre that a person’s more interested in before recommending all of these. In general, if there is an incredible twist, it’s up there. Let me know what you think if you happen to read any.
